Yes, Jim, a VERY special reason: to speed up a little my very old puter,
and also to make it fit into my 4GB flash drive! lol! Adela
Don't depend on flash drives to store your data, they have a tendency to
fail when you need them most. If you have less than 4GB of data to archive;
burn it to DVD and make several copies.

Hello, I'm trying to give my puter a throrough cleaning before backing up
with my 4gb flash drive: deleted lots of files not needed; deleted temp
and
cookies; Disk cleanup; Defrag...did I miss any other maybe?
Download Crap Cleaner to do these chores, it does them all at once.
Also wanted to delete programs not needed from add/remove, but I don't
know
are ok to delete?:
Active Disk
Intel RSX 3D
Microsoft compression client pack 1.0 for Windows XP
Microsoft easy assist
Microsoft user-mode driver framework feature pack 1.0
Microsoft visual C++ 2005 redistributable
MSN
Windows installer 3.1 (KB893803)
Windows installer clean up
Windows media format 11 runtime
Windows media player
Thanks ever so much for any help to make my puter a little lighter. :o)

Do not delete folders of applications that you no longer want. Uninstall
them from Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.
.
Just a "spring clean" , or any special reason ?
