Hello again. I have Windows XP Pro with SP 3 and I'm having a problem getting
back the past items from the Customize Notifications dialog box. It's been
grayed out, but I need it to make changes so I can see the icons in the
system tray to the right next to the clock. Can anyone please help? This
problem happened because of HiJack This.
Hijack This doesn't make any changes. YOU do.
WHAT has been greyed out? WHERE?
Past items are a history that gets reused when the program is next
encountered. You don't revert to them. The program creates its tray
icon and this history is used to determine what you used before
regarding that tray icon.
Load the program so it displays its tray icon. Then customize how you
want it to behave NOW.
Did you actually ENABLE the taskbar option to hide inactive icons?
Right-click on the Windows taskbar and select Properties. Is the "Hide
inactive icons" option enabled or not?
