Can you use System Restore to a previous time? Refer http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084/en-us

If the above does not work and you are able to Start -> Run -> cmd.exe to open a command prompt

And run the following commands

reg delete HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies
reg delete HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies

This will remove policy settings on your computer.

Hi..am having home PC with Windows XP_SP2 loaded..from last few days am not
able to access Registry and Task Manager..getting error"Task manager and
