As you noticed, your thread has been "hijacked" to promote FireFox.
This is totally "bogus" as most "readers" see Explorer therefore they
will recommend Firefox as a replacement to Internet Explorer.

The problem with most Windows, since at least Windows 98, appears that
Microsoft has developed Internet Explorer and decided to link it as
the Windows Explorer. You might not find a better replacement to
Windows Explorer because of this.
