Re: XP stuck in loop

You state that you can't get into BIOS but you failed to state how you tried
to get into BIOS. On some manufacturers computers the keys are different
(F1, F2 or F10) and sometime F10 or F12 to change the boot order. Windows
can't stop you from getting into BIOS.

Hi,
I am looking at a friends Tiny PC which runs XP. Unfortunately XP will
not run to the log in screen. It simply gets stuck in a loop.

When i start the PC it runs to the screen saying windows was not shut down
properly, please select safe mode, safe mode with networking, last known
good
config and run windows normally. If i select any of these i get a blue
screen coming back talking bout BIOS, this disappears after about 2
seconds
and the loop starts again.

I have a vista recovery disc that i want to run chkdsk from but i cannot
even get into the BIOS to tell the PC to boot from CD first. Im not 100%
sure if this will resolve the issue but its what i was going to try first.
Does this sound right? If so how can i get into the BIOS to make it boot
from
CD at startup? If not any ideas on how to fix this?

Any help would be great, Thanks.
