I have Windows XP Professional. I think the only McAfee application I have is
VirusScan Enterprise 8.5.0i.

I recently received the following error message as I was shutting down my
computer (which used Windows XP):
"
vstskmgr.exe -- Application Error
The instruction at "0x7c911669" referenced memory at "0x00000001". The
memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program.
"
Unfortunately, I could not click OK because the computer froze at that
point
i.e it would not respond to the mousepad. I had to power cycle my machine
at
this point. I could be misremembering but I think the error occurred at
the
stage when the screen shows "Windows is shutting down" on the blue
background. Does anyone know what this means or how I can prevent it in
the
future?
