RE: NPM Setup application error msg

Same problem here. I get the error ALL DAY, EVERY DAY, at least 7 times a
day. I used the trial NIS product but uninstalled it after the 60 days
expired and now use Avast. I have deleted every instance of rcapp.dll from
the Common directories. I have deleted every instance of RCApp.exe from the
Prefetch directories. I have deleted every directory and registry entry left
over from NIS. Yet I STILL GET THIS ERROR ALL DAY, EVERY DAY! Since it's
new, and I haven't made any changes since December, it's definitely something
Microsoft sent down and I suspect it's an issue with SP1 since that's my last
new install. It's NOT a Symantec issue!! It's a MICROSOFT ISSUE! GET ON IT
FOLKS!!

Thanks in advance

The problem is caused by Norton Internet Security I believe.
You could try uninstalling then installing NIS.
