You should replace the defective fan ASAP. Running your computer with it
not working could have danaged your computer. Paul has given you advice
on what to do.

Have you had any further Stop Errors since the original one. Can you
please post details. You can get details from Event Viewer. We need
to see whether the code matches the error mentioned by windmap or
whether the parameters are different.
Background information on Stop Error message:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms795775.aspx
0x0000009C: MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION
(This is a hardware issue: an unrecoverable hardware error has
occurred. The parameters have different meanings depending on what
type of CPU you have but, while diagnostic, rarely lead to a clear
solution. Most commonly it results from overheating, from failed
hardware (RAM, CPU, hardware bus, power supply, etc.), or from
pushing hardware beyond its capabilities (e.g., overclocking a CPU).

Hi,
Yes I agree with you that the CPU is overheat because my motherboard
chip fan is faulty.
The bottom of the STOP said:
"Beginning dump of physical memory.
Physical memory dump completed."
I built my pc myself,
motherboard: ASUS A8N-E
CPU: AMD Athlon 3200+
What are your anti-virus and anti- spyware arrangements?

What about Event Viewer Reports?
Code 28
The drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28).
To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver
Solution button: Reinstall Driver
This code means the device was not installed completely.
To resolve this issue, follow the recommended solution. If that
does not work, try removing the device from Device Manager and
using the Add New Hardware wizard to redetect it. You may need to
obtain updated drivers if the error still occurs.
