I guess I'm confused, because I thought you said if you went back far enough
to be sure you'd have to reinstall the printer again(?).
IF you are sure you went back far enough (to the point at which all of these
problems appeared), then I'd probably reinstall Live Messenger (rebooting
after the install just to be sure), And then work on Norton next, if needbe
(and I don't know what Norton Corporate Edition is). But someone else here
might have a better idea.

But did you use System Restore to the day preceding ALL of these recent
problems, and not just some of them? (I am wondering if you went back
far
enough)

I did the restore and did not have to do a reinstall in the printer BUT
I
have another problem...
When I start up my computer, everything goes well for a few moments but
then
Windows Live Messenger does not connect AND my Norton Corporate Edition
shows an X in it. A few moments later, the X disappears and I have to
start
Messenger by hand as there is an X in that.
Now - all you smart people - what could be causing this?

Use System Restore to restore to the point prior to your running Easy
Cleaner (and then later uninstall Easy Cleaner, and don't use it (or
any
registry cleaner). It will end up being less work overall just
restoring
it, even if you have to reinstall the printer.

I have Windows XP and Easy Cleaner installed. Yesterday I might have
gotten
a bit carried away and used Easy Cleaner to delete some registry
items.
I
also worked on my startup items and deleted several of them. After
this,
when I start up my computer, my MSN Messenger does not load in AND my
Norton
has an X in it and says my computer may be at risk. Then, within a
moment,
the X disappears and the Norton is fine. I can connect into Messenger
manually. Obviously, I am not happy with this. I have gone to Easy
Cleaner
Restore but nothing seems to happen when I chose Undo All. I also have
tried
going into the Start Up menu and putting back one by one the items I
took
out and so far, that has not helped.
My restore point is a possibility but I did install a new printer on
Dec
25th and the restore point is there. If I do this, I am concerned that
I
have to do a reinstall on the printer which was a bit of a nuisance
because
it is wireless.
Hope someone can give me some help here...
