I've installed a new HD on my computer. I installer Windows XP Home on the new HD and have it jumpered for the Master. I want to tie the other HD to the new one but don't know how to do it. I still have info on the old HD that I don't want to loose and want to put it on the new one. I have moved some info the long way (have both HDs jumpered as master, unplug the new, plug in the old, burn info to a CD, switch plug ins, and down load info to new HD) but I hope to find a better way. Any suggestions?

Third option is to buy a HD enclosure for the IDE drive and plug it into a USB port. If you have a USB 2.0 port that is, I wouldn't use a USB 1.0.

I don't advocate this case, this is just a suggestion for a typical 3.5" IDE drive from a desktop. (It's the cheapest in the list). You could use it for backup or cloning later after you get the data. External can be turned off for isolation from virus attacks or protection from power spikes.
