Removing the files doesn't uninstall the program. You've removed
uninstaller files and now Add/Remove won't work. And all the registry
entries are still there, so it's a mess.
I would reinstall your version. I found it here:
'Download iTunes 7.6.2.9 - FileHippo.com'

Then install the new version again.

I guess I got the idea of deleting the files from the troubleshooting
walkthrough on Apple's website when Add/Remove programs didn't work...
At least now I know what not to do in the future :redface:
