NFS permission in windows environment

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

My client upgraded to windows and now they cannot create folders on a unix box.
How do you solve this problem, please?
We are dealing with 2 kind of permissions, NFS and NTFS.

Your help is much appreciated!
