Hi Lern:
I haven't see his computer directly, he phoned me... but at least it gives
me something to look for...
Although we never set the updates to pull updates on video drivers...

Okay, here's a very annoying update - my customer has a 7200GS video card so
that he can operate two monitors at the same time, for nearly a month he
hasn't had a single problem with the card until yesterday after he recalls a
Windows Update on his compter and BAM! It locks up his system entirely!
The desktop was working excellently last week, but now he had to remove the
card in order for him to be able to operate his computer. Does anyone here
have any suggestions as to how to bypass the updates and resolve this issue.
(Oh, he's tried doing a restore point, and the problem is still there!)
Dave-
Have you tried looking at his update history to see what the alleged bad
update was? Perhaps he downloaded an "updated" video driver (always a
poor idea to get drivers from Windows Update).
