Thanks for the reply. I downloaded the newest version of Adobe reader along
with Acrobat and locked up reading a 100+ page PDF doc. Finally powered down
& restarted - and then that Login appeared. HP Knowledge base has a topic on
it but haven't had a chance to muddle through it. It seems to be heading in
the direction of Network security. I'm not using Network & have it disabled.

Possibly this is coming from some third-party program you have installed. HP
has a credentials manager that is similar. Examine what programs you have
installed and what is starting with Windows.
