Why is ntoskrnl.exe trying to access the internet
My firewall tells me that this program is trying to access the Internet.
Can someone who knows tell me what exactly this program does and why it
needs to access the internet.
This question is on numerous forums without a satisfactory answer.
Please do not give your opinion on this. Everyone has an opinion.
I am looking for an official answer from someone representing Microsoft.
If you're looking for "an official answer from someone representing
Microsoft," you are asking in the wrong place. This is a peer-to-peer
newsgroup. There are no Microsoft employees here, except very occasionally,
and always unofficially, on their own time.
And note that Microsoft MVP's, like me, are not Microsoft employees.
