Go to accessories, system tools, system information, open it. What does the
second line "version" indicate?

D:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\USBHUB.SYS
D:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\USBPORT.SYS
D:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\USBUI.DLL

File Version: 5.00.2195.5652

What should i do next and from where i can get the file driver of that
usb2.Thank you again for your help

I was hoping you could verify the patch level of Windows
first. By checking to see what Service Pack it says is
installed. For example, this user already has SP2 installed,
so no third party USB2 driver is needed. Microsoft provides it.

When I researched this before (three years ago), the
pre-SP1 driver appeared to be this one. Once the
download unzips, you'll find a file like Q312370_WXP_SP1_x86_ENU.exe .
But *don't* use that, until you understand what Service
Pack your OS is at. If you already have SP1 or SP2, you've
already got a driver that is better than this one. This
would be appropriate for very few people now. Even a pirated
copy of Windows, is probably at a higher Service Pack level
than this driver is intended for (original WinXP).

To reinstall the driver which is already in Windows, try this.
You'd do this, if you already had SP1, SP2, or SP3 listed as your
Service Pack level. When you remove the entries in Device Manager,
Windows rediscovers the hardware on the next boot, and installs
the correct drivers based on what it detects.
