Re: Missing login icons

I am unsure how i would do that since i cant get into the main part of the
computer to install anything. I cant get to the start window, or my computer.
Im still stuck at login screen.

I was replacing my Geforce 5200 with a Geforce 6600, and adding 1
Gig of ram to the 1 Gig that was already there. When i started up the

Did you try re-installing the video drivers? There might be quite a bit
of difference between the one that supported the 5200 and the one that
supports the 6600.

I replaced my nVidia card recently with a newer one. I'm not using the
newest drivers as the new card (and Windows) actually work better with
older ones. For some reason, the newer drivers messed with my PDF
printer drivers, and having them work (at all) was more important than
whatever benefits the newer driver offered.

If so, uninstall any video drivers from Add/Remove programs, or just delete the references in Device Manager regarding the old video drivers. ...
