Hi,
I am new to this discussion group and am hoping someone will be able to
help
me with a problem that has cropped up today when I try to use MS Word.
I have been using Windows XP Home Edition successfully since its inception
years ago. It was pre-installed on my computer when I bought my computer
(new). I run the free edition of AVG anti-virus and anti-spyware, Windows
Defender and Spybot Search and Destroy. In all the years I have used my
computer I have never had a virus, worm or anything funny.
Today, when wanting to use MS Word to type a document, the following
message
popped up in a typical MS box:- You must accept the End User Licence
Agreement (EULA) to use this software
It was Headed: Office XP End User Licence Agreement
Following directly thereunder: You must accept this End User Licence
Agreement (EULA) to use this software. If you don't accept this
application
will quit.
Following thereunder in the box with a side scrollbar: END USER LICENCE
AGREEMENT FOR MICROSOFT (R) SOFTWARE NON OPERATING SYSTEM.
Thereafter follows a very very long agreement (far too long to retype
here).
I click on the decline button as I AM NOT USING Windows XP Office , but
WIndows XP Home Edition. Upon clicking the decline button my Word page
closes and I am unable to use Word.
What is going on?
Why has this, after many years, all of a sudden popped up
in my MS Word?
Perhaps you installed an update to MS Word from Microsoft Update recently?
How do I go about getting rid of it?
Click the Accept button and you shouldn't be bothered by it again(until you
update MS Word again that is).
If it keeps popping up even after you click on the Accept button then see
this KB article:

Good luck,
Donald Anadell
What is it? Any help
in this regard will be very much appreciated.
Regards
