Hi Judy,
Since you are on dialup at this point, not telling you to upgrade, just
open My Computer. Locate the partition / drive containing your operating
system. Right-click and click Properties.
Now click Tools. Click Check Now. Check both options. Click Start. Click
Yes to Schedule and reboot to run.
You might have a problem with the File System. Running Chkdsk /f will
fix the problem.
However, I would manually clean out your \Temp Folders, by deleting all
Files and sub-folders in your \Temp Folders and running Disk Cleanup. Check
all options. Then reboot the computer.

Hi,
Something weird has started happening to my computer. When I shut down I
click Start > Turn Off Computer > Turn Off, but I have to do it twice.
The
first time you can hear the computer "thinking" then nothing happens. The
second time everything shuts down normally. This has just started within
the
last couple months or so. I have not had any infections/malware/spyware.
The only thing that was found on my computer by Malwarebytes was
Adware.PopCap.
Does anyone know how to fix this. Thanks.
Pentium IV, Windows XP Home SP2 IE6
