Running XP Pro and have been using Nero for a while, but recently, it
seems to have issues and it has always been more complicated than my
needs dictate. I know you can burn to DVD and CD from within the OS,
but I do not really like that approach. Therefore I was hoping some of
you could let me/us know what you use to burn to DVD's and CD's with?
Whether it be freeware or low cost is fine. Just trying to see what
others use that is reliable, easy to use, and gets the job done
without a bunch of buttons or confusion and without errors. Thanks for
the input!
Do you just want to burn data disks? Or do you want to create CDs and
DVDs you can listen to and watch? If the former, XP does allow you to
burn data to CDs (but not to DVDs AFAIK). If the latter, you will need a
program such as Nero. Nero shouldn't be difficult at all to use. Perhaps
you should post to a Nero support forum.
FWIW, I've had success with CDBurnerXP, which is free and very easy to
use:
