Do a Chkdsk on C: for an inconsistent state. Also verify your hard drive
channel is operating at it's optimal mode ( UDMA ) and not PIO. Either
of these conditions will cause a noticeable loss of performance.

get it because i thought my computer wuldnt be able to handle it.. my
internet has been slow before this update so im pretty sure its not my SP.
I
regularly scan for virus/spyware, defrag and clean registry+temp internet
folders. i have more than 50% free harddrive space. and i have 448 mb of
ram.
thanks for the reply guys

but
there is no connection. + my 2nd computer is down so it isnt using any
internet.
btw btw i have comcast :)
Can you tell us more about your operating system version +SP?, software,
updates recently installed..etc
Do you do your housekeeping by cleaning temp, scan for malware/viruses
and
uninstall the old games which you played and not available anylonger.
How much Disk space you have got and how much RAM installed.
