Re: error signature

Most all information on the error codes I found, was related to defficient
memory, maybe some other application was the cause or you have a bad RAM
module, video card, or IRQ channel conflict... even dust or dirt in the RAM
slots can cause such symptoms... other possible causes are corrupted drivers
or bugware, so you should do some memory tests, check your hardware
condition, scan for spyware or virus, etc.

Check this post, see if the cause coincides with yours.

According to KB article 314063
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;q314063
CAUSE
Stop error 0x0000000A (Stop 0x0A) indicates that there was an attempt in
kernel mode to touch pageable memory at too high a process internal request
level (IRQL). Typically, this error occurs when a driver uses an incorrect
memory address. Other possible causes of this error are an incompatible
device driver, a general hardware problem, and incompatible software.
According to msdn.microsoft.com article 793589

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms793589.aspx
Cause
This bug check is issued if paged memory (or invalid memory) is accessed
when the IRQL is too high.

The error that generates this bug check usually occurs after the
installation of a faulty device driver, system service, or BIOS.

If you encounter bug check 0xA while upgrading to a later version of
Windows, this error might be caused by a device driver, a system service, a
virus scanner, or a backup tool that is incompatible with the new version.

Does it by any chance happen when you are playing a game?.. if it does,
the problem may be related to a bad RAM module or video card. Test it
with Memtest http://www.memtest.org/
