The date and time was 9/9/2008 3:38 PM, and on a whim, Wolfgang pounded out on the keyboard:
Hi,
Cecked the forums and could not ind a response - therefore I am posting my question.
I am running XP and just upgraded to IE 8 Beta. After rebooting my taskbar is doubling the application portion.
Is there a way to delete one of these sections? Right clicking and selecting the toolbars is not working.
Appreciate your thoughts

Hi Wolfgang,
Are you saying each app on the Taskbar has two icons?
Or is there another row added for icons? If another row, right click on a free area on the Taskbar and select "Lock the Taskbar" (if there isn't a check mark next to it, it's already unlocked). Move your mouse to the edge of the Taskbar until it turns into a double ended arrows, the left click and move it back up to one row. Now right click on the Taskbar again and select "Lock the Taskbar".
You could also try uninstalling IE8 if what I described above isn't it.
