View Available Wireless Networks...?

Howdy,

If I click to "View Available Wireless Networks" the list
populates with one correct network, but also includes
several that are not, in fact, available.

Those that are not available includes networks that I had
logged on to at an earlier time, and at other locations.

Why would they be listed as "available", and might there be
a way to eliminate them from the list?
