I used to have three user accounts. Now when the computer is rebooted the
microsoft box comes up asking for login and password and is only
acknowledging one user. We cannot find the other users stuff. Even email
is
not loading.
Before you can restore anything, you need to know what's there.
Here are your first steps:
- Click Start / Run / cmd {OK}
- Type these commands:
net user {Enter}
(What user names do you see?)
dir "c:\documents and settings" {Enter}
(What folder names do you see?)
You should also provide more details. Your statement "Even
EMail is not loading" tells us very little. What EMail system
do you use? What happens when you launch it?
Lastly - have you tried System Restore to return your PC
to a point before this problem became apparent?
