Hey...
I posted another post in here ealier this week, alas, it seems ot have
'disappeared' so, I'll try this again.
I am running WIN XP SP3 and I am having problems getting my mic to be
recognized, I have went through all the help and advice in all the posts in
here...
An my Advanced areas, the mic WAS Slelected--NOT muted, but, I was able to
Select another itme, hence the mic is 'clean' now, also I noticed on the
Record area that isa is greyed out, should it be greyed out and if not, how
do I get it to where I can use it?
I was told by my brother that it SHOULD NOT be greyed out and IF it is, then
I need to try another audio divice and see if it works with it, like my Ipod
or someother audio device. My desktop speakers work just fine and th3e
hjeadphone part of my headphone/mic comvo unit work fine, just not the mic
part.
HELP!!!!! I am getting ready to start working from home an dI NEED this to
WORK!!!!!
Thanks,
Be sure that the mic actually does work. Try it on another system, try another mic that you know to work. It's also possible that the mic jack is broken, in which case you probably need to add another sound card or audio interface.
