When I do a File/Open in a program, like Photoshop for example, it
defaults to the Thumbnail view. I would really prefer the List or Detail
view instead.

Is there a way to permanently change the default view upon using
File/Open? I don't think this is the same as the Folder View which
remembers the last settings that were used for each folder being opened.
