Sheeshe, lightening fast response! I'm not going to lower my firewall
security just to make an MS update work. I probably don't need the
update in the first place. When do you suppose a patch for this
update will be available? What puzzles me is why when I uninstalled
the update, my system crashed, did uninstall it improperly? I went
to the update, opened the folder, and clicked on the unistall. I'm
running comodo on my laptop, anyone having problems with that
firewall after the update?
It's not Microsoft's problem, so I doubt there will be a fix.
As I understand the issue, ZA noted the size of certain files necessary for
internet connections. The MS update changed some of these files. Now ZA
presumes there's been a malicious infiltration of some sort and prevents
these (new) files from executing.
A clever, but obviously flawed, detection mechanism.
