This shows I have 512, and i know I have 1 gig there.
It does seem slower than the 768 I had, so I basically need to know

going on. How much ram do I have in there and why is only half
showing up ?
Either one of your modules isn't seated properly or is defective. My
guess is that it's the latter, considering your description of the
seller. If you want to test the module, use something like Memtest86+ or
the Windows Memory Diagnostic:
