When I open the 2nd browser, it took a fair while to display (which is much
longer than usual) and thought there may be some form of infections so thats
why I run the scans. TIA

And the reason you're running these scans is...?.

After I increased the free space of C and run the Housecall on-line scan,
it
took about 6 hours (or thats the time I away) and fund only 2 cookies. It
has improves a bit in terms of time taken to display a web page, but still
not the usual self.
An AVG 8.0 scan also comes to 'nothing". Well, guess have to plough
alongand
see what ican do next. TIA

Temporarily disable your installed anti-virus application prior to
beginning the online scan. Then don't TOUCH the machine until the scan
finishes. Leave it running overnight, if necessary.
Tip: Run Disk Cleanup before doing any online scans.

At the moment running the Housecall on-line scan and notice in the Task
Manag er, "Performance tag" it say IExplorer.exe/user/cpu abt 95%, is
this normal as this is the only process running?
Usually when I use Housecall on-line scan there is a bar to say the
approx time it wil take but not this time. Its says "Please wait while
Housecall scan your system" but this has been going on for a few hours.
I can see above the task bar/Start, can see the word "Done" and
sometimes can see that its downloading something. Its seems pretty long
time just to scan for my 80gb hdd (pretty full). Anyone experience
this?
TIA
