All is fine as long as i work on the same computer/same user at home.
When I plug it in to another workstation, i can read, but can't alter,
delete the data.

What should i do to make this fully accessable, on any Windows XP
machine?

Look at the file security settings. They might have been assigned only to
be accessed by a certain user located on your home computer.

This should be set to everyone for the file(s) and folder(s) you wish to
access from every machine.
