Everything below is correct, but every time I try to view the administrator
folder in Documents and Settings it says access denied. So I'm not sure what
to do next??

You apparently "changed" your name by creating a second user account with
Administrative privileges. This is A Good Thing. And you apparently have XP
Pro and were originally using the built-in Administrator account for your
daily work (not A Good Thing). If I've guessed wrong, then please post back
with the missing information about your system and how you did things.

You don't say where you are viewing the user accounts, but I'm guessing that
it is in the User Accounts applet in Control Panel. After you create a
second user account with Administrative privileges in XP Pro, the original
built-in Administrator account is hidden. This is by design.

1. Double-click on My Computer.

2. Double-click on your system drive, usually C:\.

3. Double-click on Documents and Settings. You should see at least two user
accounts, Administrator and your new one.

4. Now you want to have two windows on your screen - Documents and
Settings>Administrator and Documents and Settings>your-new-user-account so
select one of them and hold down Shift as you double-click on it.

5. In each window, navigate to the My Documents folder in each user account.
Then copy/paste your files like this:

To select multiple contiguous files, highlight the first file in the series
and then hold down the Shift key and highlight the last file in the series.
All your desired files will be highlighted. To select non-contiguous files,
hold down the Ctrl key as you select. Once you've selected files,
right-click anywhere in the selection and, holding down the right mouse
button, drag the files from the Administrator's My Documents to
Your-Username's My Documents. Release the right mouse button and left-click
on Copy. Note: you could choose "Move" from this context menu instead but
if there are a lot of files and they are large, I think it's safer to
choose "Copy" and then just delete the duplicates in the Administrator
account after the files are safely in their new location.
