Double quotes is not needed unless there are spaces in names.Try
start>run>V:\matlab\bin\matlab.exe If matlab runs ok then delete the
shortcut and create a new one.

Hi,
My office computer has Windows XP 2002, SP2 installed. Recently I
cannot run Matlab from short cut on desktop folder. A friend told me
the problem is that on target box: V:\matlab\bin\matlab.exe needs
double quote mark: ". The problem is that I add double quote marks,
then I apply, the double quote marks gone. What would cause this?
Thanks in advance.
