For quite sometime, wins auto update has not been starting automatically on
my system. I have configured the settings (in XP sp2) to search and notify,
but for more than a month, the icon has failed to pop up with any
notifications. Any ideas wot might be the problem.

RE: SP2 seems to have crashed my system ...SP2 is an interesting program to load, and I had to construct my own ... my system and the settings are prior to having the video drivers installed,... was a clean installation which after reenabling the sound ... (microsoft.public.windows.mediacenter)
