Keyboard typing wrong characters after docking station problem

Hello all,

I have a wireless keyboard and mouse attached to a docking station. At
one point the laptop was bumped and became detached from that docking
station. Windows was locked up so I did a hard reboot. At that point
the keyboard stopped typing the correct characters. Many of them type
nothing at all and the others are all incorrect. For example, pressing
'f' types a hyphen, pressing the left arrow types an 'm', pressing '7'
on the keypad just gives a loud beep, and so on.

I checked the language that the keyboard was setup to use and it's
still set to the standard English - US language. I switched docking
stations and the problem still occurred. I then took the keyboard over
to a co-worker's desk and set it up on a completely different docking
station and laptop. Still no luck.

Is it possible that the keyboard suffered an electrical short and is
beyond repair, or can you think of something else to try to get it to
work?

Thanks in advance,
Shannon
