SpeedFan will also read the sensors on the MB/CPU & some video
cards.

*Also most recent MB have a BIOS category for Hardware
monitoring where you can see sensor readings for Temp/Voltages

Hi,
I know there is a fan sits on the CPU.
And finally I found the fan on the motherboard.
I am not sure did the POSE said the CPU fan or the motherboard chip fan?
Did this 'chip' refers the motherboard chip?
I also found the motherboard fan is spinning too.
I installed the Cool'n quiet tool from the CD comes with ASUS
motherboard, but what program do I run to look at the speed and
temperature of the 'chip'?

It sits on top of the cpu. Its pretty good sized. Asus has a utility
on the cd for monitoring the cpu temps and fan speeds. You can also
download it from Asus.

Hi,
My motherboard is ASUS A8N-E.
I opened the case and look into the motherboard have no idea where the
chip fan is. Read the motherboard manual does say the location of the
chip fan on the diagram.
I also checked the CD come with motherboard found no utility to
monitor the speed and temperature of the motherboard chip.

And you are not the newsgroup police. There is nothing wrong with
the user starting here. He soon gets redirected to a better group
but the user seldom knows much about his computer beyond that it is
running XP when he first asks his question. It has always been
common for a user to start with a .general group when he is first
wrestling with a problem.

Yep - questions that have something to do with XP. The OP question
does NOT and is out of place HERE.
