Right-click on the desktop, then Properties, Settings, and then move the
Screen Resolution slider till you find a good setting. If it's just the
fonts that are too small click Advanced from the Settings screen and change
the DPI.

I just got a new laptop (Dell Latitude, d630) with a wide screen. It is

nice but boy do things look small for my old eyes. The icons, the tool
bars,
the boxes, office etc. Are there ways of customizing all of this stuff?
