"write delay failed" msg
Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance
Hi everyone,
I'm having a problem with a particular partition. E drive keeps
returning "write delay failed" messages. When i try to a create New
Folders in that drive, it returns with an error message which reads
"unable to create the folder 'New Folder' The drive cannot find the
sector requested." A week ago I could create new folders, but it
would have trouble writing data to the disk (eg: large downloads would
stop part way through with the 'write delay failed' message). Now I
can't even create new folders.
I'm using Windows XP Professional with a single hard drive. The other
two partitions are working fine. Anyone know what might be the
problem?
Thanks
Taras
