Bill
DSL is digital and can only be used with high speed Internet access,
over a DSL service line.
Fax needs a standard analog voice / fax line. Most DSL 'service"
access lines are usually voice / fax grade lines, unless the DSL
services provides a 'dry DSL' loop (no analog signals.) Can "share"
the DSL line since voice / fax signals are sent over different
"signals." You just need to set up a splitter and a DSl "filter" on
the "fax" split.
Most versions of MS Fax are "usually" not installed automatically.
You need to add Fax from the XP install media.
