I'm afraid that my problem has re-appeared. Windows Explorer is now
opening
automatically most of the time when I start Windows. Do you have any
other
suggestions?
Thanks again.

I made the registry changes that you suggested, re-started my
machine,
and
the problem has disappeared (at least for now).
Thank you for taking the time to share your expertise, and to help
me
deal
with this annoyance.

I don't see this post from the beginning, so if I repeat what has
already been tried, I apologize.

Check program paths in these start-up registry keys for any
without
quotes and add them:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Sample:

Microsoft Office
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\OSA.EXE -b -l

Microsoft Office
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\OSA.EXE" -b -l

Yes, I have already checked that, and the value is correct. Do
you
have any
other suggestions? Thanks.

For no reason that I can determine, Windows Explorer now
opens
automatically
to the "My Documents" folder most (but not all) of the
time
when
I
start
Windows. Does anyone know how do deal with this
annoyance?
Thanks.
