What is the CPU processor speed? How much RAM memory does your computer
have?
Try Ctrl+Alt+Delete to select Task Manager and click the Performance
Tab. Under Commit Charge what is the Total, the Limit and the Peak?

Hope this helps.

hello ,
when i try to open anything , occasionally
my pointer will become inactive .
this lasts for anywhere between a few
seconds and 20 to 30 seconds .
eventually it will work and there does not
seem to be any pattern to this .
i have checked for malware , spyware and
viruses and none show up .
i use mcafee ( i know , it sucks )
i'm running xp pro , sp2 , ie 7 , oe6 .
any thoughts on this are much appreciated .
TIA ,
