Once you have created a new Administrator-level account, and the
default 'Administator' account has been removed from the Start-up
window, how can you then re-access that original account? Thanks!

Windows XP Professional?
At the 'Welcome' logon screen, press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice to access
the classic logon prompt and put in the name "administrator" for
the user, and whatver password you assigned said account.
You can use TweakUI to easily add it to the Welcome Screen logon...

Is Windows XP Home Edition different from Professional? I was about
to suggest Safe Mode but then saw your post.
Windows XP Home Edition would require one to boot into Safe Mode to
access the "Administrator" account. Thus my guess (more of a logical
progression followed by a question to infer that if it was not
Windows XP Professional, the OP should respond accordingly) of what
the original poster was using (or superset thereof - wouldn't matter)
and directed help. ;-)
