No it did not work, in fact now when I load game I can play game for about
15 mins., and then it freezes, monitor goes black and then shuts off, but
the computer is still on. When I turn on monitor there is a sign that says
"monitor is working but there's no signal", so I reboot the computer and the
monitor comes back on. I have all the latest downloads for Directx 9.0c. All
drivers for graphics card are up to date also. Any other ideas?

Try lowering graphics hardware acceleration slide. You can lower
graphics hardware acceleration in Display Properties, Settings tab,
Advanced button, Troubleshooting tab. If this helps, you probably need
a different graphics card or drivers.
