I have no idea what the guts consist of. Ours are Dell's and I have not
looked into what it's internal components are.

I just checked and all the languages returned to the temp folder so
the fix was temporary. I've lost interest at least temporarily, since
it's not terribly important.

Just looking for similarities.
I do suspect though that some Install activated these language files to
appear as it was six months after I had my computer assembled that I noticed
these language bin files in the Temp folder. I rather think I would have
noticed them immediately but ... I'll likely never know for sure. Regards

My wife got her computer just before Christmas and I got mine about two
weeks later. I just checked my drive copy in Catfish, dated 18 Jan, and
the language files were there then. The language files were dated 8 Jan,
so that's about the date I got it.

response and I think I got confused. Nevertheless this will likely be the

Thx for the info that we've had these beasties since inception.

My Temp folder is still clean throughout approx 24 hrs and a few Shut Downs
and Reboots. Check to see if your RTHDCPL.EXE hasn't reverted back into
Startup.
Mine reverted itself the first time I removed it from Startup. It's
stationary for now.

I use a great (now defunct) program in Quick Launch, "Startup Manager" by
Brad Stowers 727KB. Real handy. You can get it on:

My firend sent me AUTORUNS.ZIP 533 KB. Google to find it. I haven't tried
it.

I agree this problem is History now that we have a way, although not 100%
desirable, to derail the bin files from loading. It's not the HD space, I
have lots for another lifetime, it's the annoyance knowing and seeing those
useless files sitting there due to sloppy programming by Real Communications
when they know the problem exists. I'll favour Creative for Sound the next
time I get a Computer.

I spoke too soon. They returned here too, however, I turned my pc totally
off last night and when it booted this morning, they were gone. A complete
power down seemed to do the trick vs a reboot. Good luck!
