Hi, and thank you for the help... however I did this, and it does
not remove it from the other users.... Can I install software into
only the Administrator's user account. (As in only mine, and not the
kids !!)

Can I choose this when I am prompted to "select destination folder"
during the installation,

No.

or do I have to install it, and then remove
it from the other accounts?

The start menu shortcuts are not the issue here....

If you know how to do this, please send instructions !! (detailed if
possible)

*note* I did try to install and then move into "owner" however it
still remained on desktop of other user.... I quite possibly did
this wrong !!??

This thread has gotten very stale - you should repost a new message, but
note that I provided what I think is the true answer to your questions in my
first reply here. You need third party software or Microsoft's windows
steady state.

Lanwench,
He might want to move the shortcut to the program out of the All
User area and into his own Start menu area.

In greater detail,
Start || Rtclk on MyComputer || Explore || C: Drive (or whatever
drive he's used for Win XP) || Documents and Settings || All Users
|| Start Menu || Programs || Move the desired folder or file from
here to -- || Documents and Settings || Joe HotShot AdminGuy (or
whatever his account name is) || Start Menu || Programs and drop
the moved folder/file here.

This is all based upon the program installer wanting to install the
program in the All User area.

Install & run the software by selecting, "run as" this puts
password/adm availability on it.

Hmmm - no, it won't - and I'm not sure your answer addresses the
question. He *is* the administrator.
