Thanks. Got the link from MS, the file downloaded, but when I tried to open
it I got an error that the self extracting file is part of a multi disk zip
file. Please insert the last disk of the set. Interesting since I loaded
the file on the hard drive. Will be contacting MS again.

The hotfix number is in the link I sent you, as for getting it, if you
call them and only ask for the hotfix, they don't charge you. And they
should then e-mail you a download link.

thanks for you patience. I tried the link you gave, but I got "your request
could not be processed". I searched MS site for the xp hot fix, but could
not find anything. Quite painful as I'm only on dialup. I tried to email
for support, but because windows came installed on the PC, there is a $60
charge. Guess I give it up, eh?

"undeleting" the pictures and seeing what you were viewing? Only way to
do that is to "overwrite" the "free space" the files occupied. If that

I've never heard of this or ever found files like that on my Windows
machines or on clients' boxen. From your description, I would expect those
files to be in the Temporary Internet Files folder. You need to enable
viewing all hidden files to see them.

I think your information is dubious, but you can clean temporary files with
the free CCleaner. I don't suggest using the registry management tools in
the program, however.
