have you sorted as desired, then Tools, Folder Options, View, Apply to All Folders?

I found this KB article that describes my problem, but it did not resolve it as I already had this in place.

Are there any other solutions? Using WinXP Pro with SP2. This has been going on for a while.

Also another problem came up recently. I could not find a KB article on this one. I think it's a Win XP issue because it happens in every app except Office. So that clues me in that it's the OS.

If I open Windows Explorer from any application OTHER than Microsoft Office applications, the list of files is unsorted. Whenever I need to attach a file, download a file and tell the application where to put it., etc. the file list isn't sorted and plus the headers aren't there.

This problem is a serious one as it takes me longer to find files in an unsorted list.

Appreciate any help!
