If its a retail edion & you can prove purchase MS can supply a new cd
If its OEM its back to that supplier
Or borrow the *exact same version* of win and install using your key

My computer is no longer working i have tried everything but no good, si i
am hoping to just reload win xp but unfortunaely i cannot find cd. i have
the
product key as i stored that away safely but cd gone missing.
My question is how do i solve this
Is there ant way to download the xp cd

Re: Reinstall OEM with different media??? ...OEM software is licensed to the sys/hardware it was supplied with, ... In order for the product key to work installation media needs to be the same ... and since again its OEM you would need to contact PC supplier... Re: Invalid product key when reinstalling - key from pc case ... You have to use the same "type" of cd (retail or OEM) as well as the same version ... Try and borrow the same type and version. ...
