First thing: XP Pro is not an official version that is a server grade
version of Windows.

Check for all /ant firewall settings and anti-virus Internet worm
module settings. You need to add an exception rule for LAN IP
addresses (192.168.0.1 - 192.168.0.254) and File / Printer sharing.
