I very often use "Control/C" and then "Control/V" to copy and paste

But I often have 2 (or more) things to paste.
Any suggestions?
(I am particularly looking for something that can be done purely

I am unsure what you are asking...
Copy/Paste what?
Text in a document? Cells in a spread***? Files on your computer?
Holding down SHIFT when selecting some things in certain areas/applications
will allow you to select contiguous items.
Holding down CTRL when selecting some things in certain areas/applications
will allow you to select non-contiguous items.
See if that helps - otherwise come back and explain in more detail what it
is you are trying to ask. ;-)
